Danone North America is looking for a Director, Media & Data Strategy in White Plains.

The Director of Media & Data Strategy will lead enterprise evolution and management across three areas (media strategy & technology, data-driven advertising and media analytics) which will help to inform & evolve Media Strategic Planning & Activation for the Company .   Reporting to the Vice President, Media Connections.  This individual will ensure that Danone is poised to advance in the application of innovation and intelligence for marketing communications.

The ideal candidate will be well established as a driver of adoption for emerging digital media formats (with particular emphasis on programmatic, SEM, Paid Social, Influencer and Content marketing), the ability to translate outcomes into insights (analytical media reporting) and experience  in the application and governance of data (media strategy, segment creation and management via DMP, data privacy, legal & IT partnerships).


The Director will be instrumental in working with the team to deliver proven  & consistent digital marketing strategies, oftentimes requiring influence and collaboration with cross functional teams, such as Brand,  S&I, E-Com, Agencies and technology platforms.  The Director will also develop, maintain and monitor guidelines (view ability, fraud, currency measures, etc..) for all media touch points to ensure brand safety and compliance.

This role will require a level of experience to drive thought leadership, capable of optimizing current efforts and bringing new insights through a mixture of innovation and broad, creative thinking.

Responsibilities include:

·         Advances in data-driven decisioning across all media types

Drives programmatic and data-informed media investment for the enterprise

·         Works with business unit sub teams (ECom .com, etc.) to ensure data consistency and connectivity

·         Coordinate with Marketing and S&I Marketing Analytics team to analyze performance, monitors campaigns for improvements, ensuring campaign goals are being fully met

·         Responsible for governance over data sets, data partnerships, and data usage

·         Key lead for establishing guidelines for viewability, frequency and brand safety

·         Ensure multiple business units ad placement isn't excessive across media site buys Ad

·         Verification and Compliance across display and video

·         Online Behavioral Advertising Opt out compliance (Ad Choices)
·         Insight generation, model management, creative analytics and reporting

Enterprise Leadership

·         Define enterprise approach to data marketing applications

·         Center of excellence for advertising technology & Data

·         Lead the Media Team through innovation and transformation

·         Develop and deploy audience targeting strategies

·         Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with ad tech, data

·          

What we're looking for...

·         12+ years of online / digital agency planning & buying experience spanning Programmatic Video, Paid Search, Paid Social, Streaming Audio, mobile, etc.

·         Ability to take complex concepts and translate them in a meaningful coherent way - without jargon

·         Proven track record of growing and leading a technically advanced team of media professionals

·         Detail-oriented &   Results driven

·         Fluent in online targeting and reach strategy

·         Passion for digital communications, new technologies and constantly evolving our approach

·         Exceptional communication skills

·         Ability to manage large projects across multiple stakeholders

·         Knowledge of Display (desktop, mobile), Paid Search, Digital Video, Streaming audio, various buying methodologies (CPCV, CPM, CPC, CPA), etc.

·         Knowledge of online resources (DART, comScore, @plan, Site Catalyst)

·         Knowledge in ad verification for display and video, Online Behavioral Advertising compliance (Ad Choices)

·         Ability to maintain accurate financial records

·         Ability to analyze data, monitor campaigns for improvements, ensure campaign goals are being fully met, and guide agencies
