- Define and implement a regional purchasing strategy on PFC, adapted to the 2 divisions, compliant with overall Plastic Strategic Resource Cycle strategy and aligned with Europe business priorities
- Lead breakthrough approach on technology to drive innovation
- Enable Innovation : drive supplier for project under Danone lead, and develop technological expertise to bring innovation inside Danone
- Improve divisions' competitive position, both on supply market (purchasing attractiveness) and selling market (profitable growth, cost out, value in).
- Increase the purchasing proficiency in the category


- Geographical scope : North America and Mexico
- Category Scope : Pre-Formed Cup (PFC)
- Complexity Managed: 3 BU (USA, Canada, Mexico) w/i 3 different Business model & drivers,
Dairy: Packaging Buy & Sell Model for 8 Plants/3CBU/6 Main suppliers in a challenging business environment. 55M$ spend.
Plant based: 2 Plants/1 CBU Clients in a fast-growing environment. 6M$ spend

- Category Strategy Development
- Be the Account manager for Regional suppliers
- Understand, challenge and anticipate Danone business needs
- Understand and analyse PFC market trends
- Propose, validate & implement 3-year SSD Regional PFC strategy, from upstream materials (resin, masterbatch, ...) to conversion supplier (including assessment and development of supplier and negotiation of conditions)

o Business security
- Guarantee 100% supply to zone factories
- Identify, keep ready and activate back-up solutions for unexpected demand

o Budget and estimates, risks management
- Lead budget and estimate process for concerned scope
- Identify market risks and opportunities and their full impact (total cost of ownership, cash flow)

o Operational business follow up & Projects:
- Identify, Manage and coordinate Negotiation and Duplication projects with CBUs
- Ensure Cost competitiveness at all times
- Identify and lead or support until achievement bottom line (productivity, ...) and top-line (innovation, sustainability) projects and ensure projects are prioritized and implemented in the CBUs
- Identify, propose and lead specifications harmonisation projects in each CBU

o Methods and tools
- Develop category excellence : identify inside and outside best practices, assess interest, develop them in Danone
- Define and implement an internal communication strategy about category strategy and achievements.
- Continuously update category tools (ex.: supplier database,...)

- The candidate should have an outstanding education level (capacity of analysis, synthesis, and command of languages, basics about marketing, company strategy, and finance).
- Pragmatism, "Hands on" mentality, with strategic business approach (helicopter view)
- Tenacity with strong adaptation and relationship capabilities to gain credibility and create an efficient network within CBUs and suppliers.
- Strong agility, capacity to understand and move within diverse CBUs/Division situations
- Fluent English mandatory, French or/and Spanish is a plus
- Experience working in Danone
- Experience required in project management and operation
- Experience with plastic and/or packaging category and in purchasing is a plus
