Danone North America is looking for a VA/Salad Allocation Planning Analyst in San Juan Bautista.

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE

Manages the order fulfillment allocation process for Earthbound Farm (EBF) value added products and is responsible for understanding SAP functionality and processes to optimize organizational performance balancing EBF Quality Control Testing Policies/Procedures. The Customer Service Supply Planning Analyst collaborates between Supply Chain and Sales to understand priorities and balance across the customer base.  This position requires someone who can work cross-functionally to ensure that the Code Date Requirement (CDR) table is maintained and is executed within the warehouse. This role may also be required to participate in the SAP testing process as system applications are repaired.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

Supply Planning & Order Fulfillment Management

  • Manages the order fulfillment process through daily review of customer orders against the available inventory to determine a strategy for managing shortages to customers.
  • Communicates proactively with planning teams (forecasting & scheduling) and production facilities to optimally manage customer demand within a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborates with brand and sales team to prioritize order fulfillment against promotion calendars, seasonal items, and new item distribution.
  • Identifies opportunities, develops and implements efficiencies for improving the order fulfillment process. 
  • Determines mitigation strategies to resolve inventory shortages, which may result in revising orders with alternate shipping locations or allocating available inventory across customer orders.
  • Manages large scale service interruptions by partnering with the brand and planning teams to position inventory against the company’s priority customers.
  • Monitors and tracks stock transfer movements to manage supply network disruptions.
  • Monitors service performance and drives service improvement by analyzing root cause while recommending and implementing improvements to advance service performance to our customers.
  • Maintain departmental master data and configuration related to customer, shelf life, and code days remaining in conjunction with Master Production Scheduling MPS.
  • Work with Sr. Manager of Customer Service processes, projects, and analytics to ensure all ad information is readily available and in a usual format to assist in allocations as required.
  • Support SAP testing for new revisions within the application that support the Customer Service teams.
  • Develop recommendations to mitigate less complexity within our approach to the roadmap which is utilized during allocations.

  • Proven track record of continuous improvement application
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively across all functions
  • Ability to work, lead, and collaborate with in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Understanding Forecasting, MPS, and Inventory principles and how they relate to a short shelf life product
  • Knowledge or SAP is preferred

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

  • BA/BS Degree or Equivalent Experience Preferred
  • 4-6 years’ experience in Inventory Management, Service, Supply Chain, Manufacturing
  • Experience in the AG industry a plus
