Danone North America is looking for a Production Coordinator in San Juan Bautista.

 

Production Coordinator Data Entry

Reporting to the Production Manager

Work with the production team and cross functional team to prepare and conduct process improvement and reporting capabilities for production.

 

Responsibilities current state:

Production area:

  1. Production Coordinator is expected to work with the production team and across functional team to support production.
  2. Minimum working hours from Monday to Sunday (As Required) covering as follows:
    1. 1st shift Production Meeting (including Prep Time)
    2. Shift Huddles
    3. 30 min overlap between coordinators
    4. End of Production
    5. Typical shift would be (if production is working 10 hrs.):
      1. 1st Shift: 5:00AM-3:00PM- to support the production team.
      2. 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – PM transition to End of Production
  3. Creation of complete downtime recording from pre- operation, Mix, Wash, dryer, pack out line and covering all lines.
  4. Pull production numbers from SAP prior huddle meetings and at the end of shift.
  5. Fill in the Management Operation System (MOS-SIC Board) (Safety, UPMs)
  6. Attend Daily Production Meeting (on 1st shift) @ 8:00AM
  7. Audit Production meetings in War Room (Production Office) and provide feedback to the Production Manager:
    1. 8:00 AM
    2. 3:30 PM transition shift
  8. If production days are shorter than 10 hrs. The following schedule will be adjusted based with the production schedule accordingly
  9. Create work orders from action items/downtime items both shift meetings - Maintenance Connection
  10. Coordinate Pallets on hold to identify the root causes per production line and propose solutions to ensure we reduce the number of hold per line.
  11. Create/update as needed on:
  12. Send shifty pass down from huddles with updated action item list
  13. Help pull data (Safety, GMP, Cases on Hold, UPMs) for Daily Production Meeting (1st Shift) and record data in Plant Performance Spreadsheet
  14. Complete COGI’s (1st Shift/2nd Shift will backfill if needed)
  15. Create/Modify Production Orders in SAP
  16. Backfill other Admin Positions (attendance, etc.) when is needed

Continuous Improvement area:

  1. Engage in Continuous Improvement projects and processes based on requirements.
  2. Collection of data to track and monitor cost savings
  3. Daily changeovers schedule tracking and monitoring
  4. DDS Audit and SIC board meeting to provide feedback to management and group leaders and supervisors.
  5. Create and update daily production schedule and production performance
  6. Work with CSI Leader to stay consistent with plant goals, priorities and daily production schedule vs produced for EBF private label and EBF brands.

Future State within 6 months after training

Responsibilities:

  1. Working daily with the Supervisors and Group Leaders to track and monitor daily schedule and production
  2. Responsible to track daily the throughput of production.
  3. Coordinate with department management and participants, lead instruction on the use of process improvement tools, facilitate team decisions, manage team work, resolve team conflict, assist in the development of implementation action plans, and conduct follow-up.
  4. - Coordinates with related departments and functions to assure appropriate information flow and understanding of overall process improvement direction;
    - Monitor results of applicable feedback to identify opportunities for process improvements;
    - Assist in the development of the process models and process maps;
    - Monitor implementation of improvement team recommendations;
    Provide key performance indicators across the site, product line relative to production operations, perform other duties as assigned.
  5. Support daily assistance as needed on active HC with Supervisors per production line.

     


Requirements
High School Diploma and higher education

Degree (Business, Technical) preferred but not essential

Experience using Microsoft Office and other computer-based application (I pad, One Note, etc.); Excellent communication, and leadership skills; verbal and written
 

Able and willing to work 10-12hrs daily and weekends if needed
Must be flexible with work hours and be able to work holidays, overtime and weekends to suit business needs
