Danone North America is looking for a Payroll Specialist in San Juan Bautista.

 

 

 

 

 


Responsibilities:

•Process bi-weekly and weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees
•Verify managers / local HR representatives have approved and signed off time cards
•Validate employee change requests are completed correctly
•Process updates to the payroll system
•Load hours from time & attendance system to payroll system
•Audit and balance payroll
•Process manual checks
•Process wage attachments and garnishments
•Process calculation for overtime premium
•Process Long Term Incentives
•Process Relocation Benefits
•Process Taxable Fringe Benefits
•Process Third Party Sick Pay
•Provide internal audit support
•Provide training to managers
•Reconcile monthly, quarter, and annual Tax files
•Process year-end - review and distribution of employee W2
•Address employee questions concerning pay and/or payroll deductions
•Address Accounting inquiries
•Process Bureau of Labor Statistic, Government Employee Status and Multiple Worksite reporting
•Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
•Demonstrate knowledge of all pay policies to manage error identification and resolution related to payroll and time keeping system
•Update and maintain payroll administration procedures and policies as requested
•Leads or completes special projects as assigned
•Other duties as assigned by manager

 

 

 

 Education and Experience:
•High school diploma required. College education a plus.
•CPP preferred
•At least 5 years of payroll administration and high-volume payroll processing experience required
•Strong working understanding of payroll concepts and payroll accounting required
•Ceridian DayForce systems experience required

 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Ability to handle, produce and maintain confidential information
•Ability to accurately interpret and apply policies, procedures and laws related to payroll activities
•Proven ability to work within tight deadlines as well as successfully prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
•Excellent data entry skills and proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word
•Superior analytical skills and attention to detail
•Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and manage new systems
•Strong basic math skills
•Impeccable customer service and communication skills with the ability to understand, prioritize, diagnose and resolve issues timely
•Ability to collaborate with peers to identify process improvements
