Danone North America is looking for a Maintenance Dispatcher PM Shift in San Juan Bautista.

Maintenance Dispatcher Job Description:

The position of Maintenance Dispatcher/Clerk (MD/C) handles day to day logistical operations of the maintenance mechanics and best inventory availability.

The MD/C will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversees the work order system, dispatches technicians in real time response to downtime on the floor (according to guidelines related to timing), and assigns/opens work orders.

 The MD/C must have an extensive understanding of the work order system, the required inventory parts to create work orders in the system, the workorder process, and a basic understanding of maintenance repairs.

S/he must be able to manage multiple tasks at one time. MD/C will maximize all mechanics utilization. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Mechanical Dispatcher

  • Receives radio calls from the production floor and dispatches mechanics properly with constant communication
  • Opens work orders in the system once the mechanic is dispatched to the line
  • Ensures mechanic completes the work order in the system once s/he has completed the task
  • Ensures Supervisor closes all workorders in the maintenance system within 2 hours or prior to departing (if 2 hours is after shift end)
  • Follows documented communication process flow
  • Monitors work order progress and communicates updates effectively, according to department protocol/process
  • Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with mechanics and your internal customers (production)
  • Follows proper procedures to keep the whole operations team informed on mechanics progress on work orders · keep work order system and all other commutation tools updated
  • Relays information to the correct department when needed
  • Inform property managers and maintenance employees with proper information when asked. 
  • Track where maintenance is dispatch and monitor timing.

Dispatch work orders by two-way radio based on extend of problem. Collaborate with maintenance staff and supervisors the assignments. Understanding all trades/crafts and employee abilities to do assigned work orders/ (Matrix skill per employee)

Follows proper procedure to keep the whole operations team informed on mechanics progress on work orders, completed and pending.

Coordinate with the Maintenance Clerk the parts ordered pending to complete the work orders.  Report must be tracked daily, what, when, and who will complete the WO into the system

Implement SAFETY emergency procedures as situations occur and require. Activate the emergency call list as department and procedures require.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Bilingual preferred

Experience: Six months to one-year related experience mechanically inclined. Able to multitask taking calls, updating call sheet, enter work orders, Clerk duties.

Bilingual preferred: English/ Spanish language: Proficient in reading, writing and speaking 

Computer Skills: 10-key by touch and MS Office Suite programs including Word and Excel.
