Nutricia Opole factory is part of the Early Life Nutrition division and is one our supply points for infant milk formulations. The Opole factory is producing high quality powders for infants and toddlers. Products are distributed to countries worldwide. For Opole Quality and Food Safety are the two main non-negotiable business fundamentals, requiring the organization to constantly develop, improve and grow.

Main responsibilities:

You will manage and support product development, reformulation, transfer and improvement projects for Early Life Nutrition for Opole (80%) and Krotoszyn (20%) factories. You will be leading and participating in cross-functional project teams, being the linking pin between the Opole, Krotoszyn factories and PD, securing project progress.


  • Works in projects involving, amongst others, spray drying, emulsion stability, heat treatment, agglomeration, dry blending and packing
  • Secures that existing product recipes comply with nutritional, sensory, physical, chemical and operational requirements and fulfill the needs of the end user.
  • Is PD Single Point-of-Contact for factory Opole
  • Partners with Quality and Technology department in recipe and nutrient tolerance related decisions and discussions
  • Act as linking pin between PD and the factory regarding improving ways-of-working, training and setting development guidelines
  • Accountable for coaching and training of the PD department in relation to the factory activities. 
  • Reporting: straight line to R&D Factory Technologist Team Leader and dotted line to Production Department Director


Profile requirements:


  • Minimum M.Sc. level in Food Science and Technology or similar by education or experience
  • Relevant work experience, at least 5 years in product/process development, preferably in dairy
  • Capable of managing projects and working in teams with set targets & timeframe
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic organization, with functional disciplines at several locations
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English
  • Flexible and willing to travel when required
  • Self-motivated, result driven, ownership, analytic and creative mind, convincing, enthusiastic and a team player
