Danone Canada is looking for a Senior Brand Manager - Danone Canada in Mississauga.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Brand Manager (SBM), will be responsible for driving growth against one of the largest brands in the $1.4 Billion Yogurt Category.  This individual will be a key contributor to the brand’s strategic business planning based on a deep understanding of the consumer, our customers and the market. The SBM will develop marketing plans, lead brand strategy and new product development for the brand partnering with internal and external partners to ensure its success.

The Senior Brand Manager, in collaboration with the Marketing Director, will:

- Build brand value

- Find innovative ways to create demand

- Develop breakthrough activations and innovations

 

Key Components of the Role

  • Develop a deep understanding of the consumer and leverage consumer insights to drive brand strategy, innovation and communications
  • Drive Innovation and new product development process including developing pipeline of next generation products that will generate growth.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Consumer Insights, Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales and Finance to take innovation ideas from concepts to reality
  • Create breakthrough communications, hot activations and packaging design that will build brand equity and drive long-term growth for the business
  • Develop relationships and work effectively with Global brand teams to replicate winning ideas from other markets to Canada
  • Lead agency relationships for communication, package design and activation 
  • Utilize business analytics (share, volume and revenue drivers, competition) to monitor performance of the brand to develop forecasts, propose recommendations and drive business objectives

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in brand management for an established CPG company
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
  • Operates with a sense of urgency
  • Strong leadership and drive for results
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strategic capability and experience in marketing plan development; situation assessment, strategy and tactical plan development
  • Good strategic vision with ability to navigate uncertainty and complexity
  • Experience in cross-functional team management
  • Ability to handle simultaneous projects and deliver in agreed upon timelines
  • Understanding of Financial P&L
