Oversee certification (including, but not limited to, Organic, Non-GMO and Kosher) for products, including guiding business on certification-related topics and related labeling
• Maintain organic certifications for corporate handler accounts, owned manufacturing locations and coordination with contract manufacturing entities.
• Support manufacturing facilities as needed with annual inspections, inspection responses and updates to organic system plan
• Support Research & Innovation with new production innovation through consultation on organic regulations.
• Turn in new product certification with supporting documentation and labels to certification agencies.
• Support change management with existing products (new supplier, new ingredient, existing product for production in another plant)
• Review raw material documentation and make recommendations to initiator for any incomplete information from the regulatory standpoint.
• Support in gathering information and making recommendations on organic policy changes, including any comment periods for NOP regulations or NOSB meeting materials.
• Train relevant internal employees on certifications topics as needed.
• Maintain certifications and related documentation up to date, liaising with Procurement and other cross-functional teams as appropriate.
• Assist in the review of product labeling and other consumer facing content for accuracy and compliance to internal and external standards that they meet certification standards.
• Identify key internal and external partners, and manage relationships with appropriate consultants, government agents (USDA, NOP) and trade associations.
• Liaise with other Organic businesses within Danone North America to ensure consistent approach to policies and practices.
• May require occasional domestic or international travel (less than 10% of time).

Education and Experience
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in a similar role with a CPG food manufacturer;
• Knowledge of organic regulations, Non-GMO programs, and other certifications.
• Experience working cross-functionally and as part of diverse teams

• Strategic thinker with good judgment, decisiveness, and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented, accurate and excellent record keeping skills
• Comfortable with ambiguity and problem solving
• Strong written and oral communication skills
