About the job


The Junior Business Development Manager mission is to accelerate the sales of Danone waters international water brands in the UAE, with a main focus on 'On the Go' (CVS/PFS) in the priority cities and together with distributor and sub-distributors identify right growth levers and ensure excellence in execution (including specific planograms, must stock lists, PUMA style customer reward plan).


The scope of the role would also be broadened to include modern trade convenience (such as Carrefour express and Spinneys market).


Additionally, you will also cover accelerating the e-commerce channel. This is a fast growing and strategically important channel in the UAE, and the role will involve working closely with marketing to deliver best in class plans to implement in key customers, such as etc.


Success will be implementing a strategy that works in the UAE that can be seamlessly rolled out into the other key ME markets.


As a Junior Business Development Manager you will dedicate spending 30% of your time in the market with the distributor's sales teams, identifying opportunities and implementing strategies (that can be scaled) to unlock new growth.


About you
To be successful in the role, you should ideally have:

  • 1-2 years of sales professional experience linked to negotiation with customers and/ or field sales. Fresh graduates will be considered after careful evaluation.
  • Relevant trade or channel-marketing experience will be an advantage.
  • Fluency in English. Arabic is a plus.
  • Ability to drive change - embarking teams and stakeholders around vision and driving implementation.
  • Ambition and hunger to challenge status quo and go extra mile.
  • Flexibility in finding solutions in a complex environment.
  • Resilience and ability to bounce back and learn quickly after failures.
