Cafe/Retail Clerk - EBF

Danone North America is looking for a Cafe/Retail Clerk in Carmel.



Associates are responsible for providing Farm Stand customers with excellent customer service in a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The Associate displays a positive attitude at all times to ensure the return of our customers who are the reason for our business.


Essential Functions

  • Prepare customer orders by following established recipes and guidelines for all products
  • Efficiently fulfill orders for juices, coffees, smoothies and other deli items at the Service Counter
  • Maintain portion controls for items prepared to order
  • Assist with documenting, packaging, labeling, and stocking a variety of products prepared by ‘The Organic Kitchen’
  • Identify and properly document all items that out-of-date or otherwise unfit to serve
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment at all times
  • Set-up and or tear-down and properly clean and stow all equipment and display items and the beginning or end of each shift respectively
  • Follow instruction of the café supervisor or his or her designate
  • Operate POS efficiently and accurately
  • Provide outstanding customer service  
  • Perform opening and closing procedures with accuracy and minimal supervision
  • Farm Stand sales
  • Keep produce cases and displays stocked and beautifully arranged throughout the shift.
  • Assist with receiving, storage and stocking of incoming orders
  • Help keep the store impeccably clean and organized at all times
  • Assist with special events and other projects as requested by Farm Stand Supervisors and Managers




Education: High School

Experience: At least 1 years’ experience working as a Barista with Previous retail or quick food service preferred

  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for 8-10 hour shifts
  • Ability to lift and walk with a load of up to 15 lbs. for short distances
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledgeable about coffee, smoothie, and juice helpful
  • Available to work a work week including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


Other Requirements

Previous work experience in the food service industry is desirable. Ability to process information/merchandise through POS register system. Ability to communicate verbally with staff members & guests. Ability to read, count and write to complete all documentation. Work successfully as part of a team, while under pressure. Operate and use all equipment necessary for store operation. Move or handle merchandise generally weighing 0-25 pounds. Work varied hours/days based on business needs. Work special events when needed. Maintain a positive morale and professional attitude. Work overtime, as needed.Frequently use hand and finger motions, handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms. Handle food and hot beverages. Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for 8-10 hours. Ability to lift and walk with a load of 10-15 lbs. for short distances.



Working conditions consists of a commercial kitchen, café, and small retail grocery environment.
