About the Job:

 

We have an amazing opportunity in our Broomfield, Colorado office for a Senior Benefits Specialist.

 

• Manage all aspects of Company's 401(k) & Frozen Pension programs and processes
• Assist with annual plan audits, reporting and compliance testing related to company 401(k) and Pension
• Oversee the administration of Company's Health, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, Life, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Pre-paid Legal and ID Theft plans
• Assist with all aspects of Open Enrollment
• Conduct research and analysis, develop solutions, and resolve operational issues
• Work closely with internal HRIS and Payroll to ensure all data flows seamlessly between systems
• Test benefits system functionality to ensure accuracy
• Partner with HR business partners and department leads on benefit related matters
• Interpret and explain Benefits policies and procedures
• Serve as subject matter expert in Health & Welfare Benefits
• Manage all aspects of vendor billing
• Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior benefits staff and back-up support to Benefits Manager, as appropriate

 

About you:

• You have expert knowledge of federal and state regulations that govern benefits plans to include ERISA, ACA, IRS and FMLA
• You have the ability to research benefit plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and insurance certificates to identify answers and solutions to employee inquiries
• You have the ability to monitor, analyze and report effectively on data analytics
• You possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel
• You are proficient in HRIS (preferably Ceridian)
• You have proven knowledge of salaried, non-exempt, union and non-union workforce
• You are detail-oriented, with good judgment and prioritization skills
• You are capable of working independently
• You are articulate and professional in all verbal and written communications
• You have the proven ability to maintain data confidentiality
• You possess strong initiative and problem-solving skills
• You have the ability to simultaneously support multiple functions as required
